I am selling my 1989 Toyota extended cab 4x4 pickup. I bought this from Monroe, Washington with intentions to little by little restore it. I bought it with around 154,000 miles on it and it has been stored most of the time since purchased in 9/2012. I have driven it locally and it gets started and ran each week to keep the oil flowing through and charging the battery. It was my project but unfortunately I have to move on to another project. When I bought it, some things were replaced: Catalytic Converter, Cold Air Intake, Fuel Filter, Distributor, Tires, Oil Change, Wipers, Power Steering Pump and Return Hose, Power Steering Belt and Various little things were fixed. I have a NEW heater core and fan wheel included and not installed....along with a NEW radiator fan shroud. I did not purchase the fan motor. It is best to do everything at once while the dash it out. The heat works and does not leak but it blows weak. This is a 26 year old vehicle and I would suggest you drive it local and not long distance. It would be better to be purchased with the intentions that I had.......to fix her up and restore her. She does have some cosmetic blemishes as expected. There are some leaks from gaskets on the engine as they age.I was going to pull the engine and have it replaced or rebuilt. She runs good but needs some fine tuning. Passed inspection!! The best news is.........the undercarriage is pretty clean for a Toyota. It has no more rust on it than something that is in the Northeast winters. Matter of fact, it is probably cleaner than alot of vehicles around here. If YOU WANT THIS SHIPPED, YOU COVER ALL COSTS AND ARRANGEMENTS!!!! I will deliver this within a short distance. We can negociate after the purchase. Like stated earlier......this truck will be best owned by somebody that is familiar with Toyotas, and/or mechanically inclined. It has lots of potential!!! The belt is not there and I never tried it. The truck has not changed much.....what you see is the way I bought. I wanted to restore it the right way.....little at a time. Just a few minor details. It does not run like a brand new vehicle. I am just trying to be honest and maybe overly cautious with it. Once again.......it is 26 years old. The mileage is very good for its age. The head gaskets DO NOT LEAK. The oil is just oil......and the coolant is just coolant. It does not overheat. It is a good solid engine. The timing might need to be adjusted some because it does have a new distributor. The plugs are old. It runs fine. I have driven over 75-80 mph. It passed inspection.......and I stood there while it was on the lift to verify the safety and overall condition of the undercarriage during the safety inspection. The emissions passed with no problems. My mechanic was very thorough with the inspection. It is safe to drive. Otherwise, I sure as hell wouldn't drive it or let my sons drive it when they did.
