Vehicle Detail
If you are looking for somewhere to play all those 80's/90's cassettes this is the car for you!!! but seriously I love this car, I just need to spend some money on my house, so it must go. I have owned this car as a second vehicle since 2006, putting around only 3.5k miles on it, and it is currently MA inspected to Nov 2015. This is the last year the 944 Turbo's were imported into the USA and while it is not labelled a Turbo S it incorporates all the additions that came with that model, larger turbo, more HP, etc. It is loads of fun to drive, but as with all 944's can get expensive if you cant fix it yourself. It also has the M030 Club sport package (adjustable Koni suspension and better brakes) Over the years I have replaced:All the vacuum linesAll Brake pads and rotorsTiming belts and rollersFuel pump, fuel tank strainer, fuel filter and some rubber fuel linesRegular oil changesTune up items (plugs/wires/distributor cap/rotor)Rear wiper delete plug- gears wore out. Mostly stock except for a Lindsey racing boost enhancer, and Bosch HV fuel pump which Lindsey say is good enough for a build of up to 460 RWHP. I will throw in the following:A full set of mintex brake pads and pad wear indicators. The remains of the deleted rear wiper motor and blade.Innovate motorsport #3781 XD-16 Standalone gauge kit with LC-1, something I bought when I was in half a mind to start tuning and then never had the time for it. ($300 ish)Aarnworx timing belt tools maxi kit ($300 ish) With these cars there are always things that need fixing, the ones that I know of are as follows:There is a dent in the drivers rear quarter, I recall the quote being around $2k.I think the clutch slave cylinder is leaking, this is a recent thing, and fluid loss leads me to this conclusion. Its located underneath the car by the starter motor, and a bad back prevents me from looking at the moment. There is an exhaust leak somewhere before the cat and the smell does come into the cabin.I broke a brake pad wear indicator a while ago when I changed the pads, I have since bought replacements but I haven't fitted them so there is a light on the dash.AC needs a charge.Dash has the usual tear, It came with a cover but I didn't like the look of it. Its included.Retractable trunk cover works but has no clips attached, but I have a couple of likely looking clips that I found in the glove box.Front brakes squeal a bit.I have done less than 500 miles since replacing the timing belts and rollers, I was planning to check the tension at 118300 miles, the top belt cover is currently removed and in the trunk to facilitate this Video of start and idle. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=f-W_nQRmMTE Video of exhaust starting from cold https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEXhVVp6Isg My longest drive recently(last week) was an 80 mile round trip to work and back in heavy traffic and on a hot day, it exhibited no issues other than the ones mentioned above, engine temp and oil pressure were good the whole way. Vehicle sold as is with no warranties implied or otherwise, and local pick up only, meaning no delivery, but I will work with your shipping company if you want to have it picked up.
