1967 Pontiac Firebird 400 HO Coupe Engine built by legendary race engine builder Russ BarfieldPontiac GM 400 HORamAir IVRamAir III Heads, RamAir IV CamStall 3000-3200Muncie TH400 Tranny4:10 RearB&N Shifter Engine work done by Russ Barfield (Russ Race Engines). Block is stamped by Russ with his Serial No. This is not numbers matching to the body. Engine work done includes heads, cam, balance crank, etc Original trans was manual, replacement is Muncie TH400. This engine was built to perform and stomp mudholes in everything. >600HP at the wheels. Engine runs but needs tune up from sitting (carb cleaned, new plugs etc). This is nearly a complete car where only simple things are missing such as the hood, front windshield, left light housing, etc. All easily obtainable OE items and huge variety of aftermarket replacements. All of the interior trim pieces are included, all of the glass including regulators/tracks (excl windshield). Front seat is the upgraded bench seat option. Tons of original parts included, even those very hard to find ones such as the hood scoops and 400 badges for the hood. There are minor areas of rust. Major rust has been repaired with replacement metal (rear quarters, trunk deck, rocker, etc). The spots remaining are considered minor repairs and can be done by the average builder. All ofthe body panels are currently just bolted on snug at best for most just to show car is complete (no shims, nothing aligned). We are expecting the buyer will immediately remove the panels for paint/body. This is a perfect car for restoration since it has solid bones and the major work needed has already been undertaken. This is a hot rod muscle car. It's life has been dedicated to being a fast muscle car. Can easily get the front wheels of the ground. If you wanted a Barrett-Jackson quality full restore you could get that out of this but you'd be teetering on the line of it not being profitable. Ton of parts included (all for finishing assembling, not just random extra garbage). Emblems, hood scoops, hardware, trim, glass, etc. I'll also toss in service/shop manuals, restoration guide books, etc. Listed locally therefore I reserve the right to end the auction early.
