Here is a 2000 F-350 powerstroke extended cab short bed 4 x 4. Had it for over 10 yrs and its been a very good truck,no rust,been a southern truck and well taken care of inside and out for the age. I replaced the transmission 4 yrs ago. I put a extra heavy duty Trans in with its own cooling fan and large fluid lines to make sure it stays cool and haven't had any trouble. It's still going strong. The tires are still all good and have plenty of life left to them. Now here's the not so good. . . The 7.3 power stroke engine hasn't given me any trouble at all until now. These engines are bullet proof and have a great reputation. 4 yrs ago when I replaced the Trans, I replaced 3 injectors. That's all the mechanic said was necessary to replace at that point. The engine recently started knocking and lost power. My mechanic says it appears to have burnt a hole in a piston. This is a great truck for someone that is interested in doing a little engine work. The truck is in excellent shape. I hate to sell it, but had just bought another one right before the engine gave a problem and was planning to sell anyway. I had no idea the engine was about to give out. It will still crank up and drive, but I wouldn't take it on a 10 hr. Trip. Please email if you have any questions.
