Vehicle Detail

Listing my 1989 BMW 635csi Needs addressing AC compressor went out a a few weeks ago. Spent about 3K replacing everything but the compressor over the past year. Kept original compressor until it decides to go (that time has come). Everything else in AC system is new. Middle switch on A/C panel missing end covering. Middle slider on AC control does not function.Passenger side needs a door gasket. Around $200. Been garaged so I haven't worried about it. Trunk needs resprayed. Rest of paint has held up, but the trunk was repainted at some point and did not hold well.Front wheel needs balanced. I knocked off a weight when I was installing suspension.Short in windshield washer reservoir - causes washer check light to come on.Sunroof functions full open and flip up, but something rattles inside it. The good.COMPLETE new suspension. Replaced SLS system with Bilstein Sport Shock with H&R springs. Sits about 2 inches lower than stock. Wheels are Style 65s from the M5. Tires are in great shape.Interior is awesome. It's not brand new quality, but it's way better than a 26 year old car should be. NO CRACKS IN DASH. Driver’s seat has wear, but no rips or tears. Rest of seats are in great shape. There is one small tear on passenger door under the armrest. Can be repaired.ALL electronics work in the interior. Adjustable seats, rear windows, mirrors, etc. Replaced factory stereo with modern unit, speakers, bluetooth, etc. I have all the originals if you want to go back.Engine is fantastic. Car has been serviced by local BMW tech. Starts and runs strong. Will cruise down the highway at "alleged" speeds. It's not a sports car, it's a GT coupe. Get in, sit back and go.Rear spoiler from "M" model. So that's about it. The "BAD" will set you back about $1000. If you do that it's a 7-8K car all day long (prices are steadily climbing). I love this car but it's time to see it go. I have been spending way to much time on my bikes and I promised myself I wouldn't be the guy that just lets a car sit. The e24 is a beautiful car. It's one of the sub-10k cars that's going to get attention from everyone at Cars and Coffee. Flip it, engine swap it (my dream was a N54 swap), daily drive it . . . do whatever, but this car needs to be driven. You're not going to find an e24 in better shape for the price. It is not concourse quality, bit it is a solid daily driver that can easily be brought up to show quality with minor work. A great 26-year-old car.
