Vehicle Detail

1988 Chrysler Conquest TSi / Mitsubishi Starion Intercooled Turbocharged with optional SHP. This is a rare San Marino Yellow with tan interior. If you're looking at this car, you're likely familiar with them. This Conquest is in good to great condition with highly polished SHP wheels. The vehicle is 100% rust free, top and bottom, being from AZ and CA. Purchased 2 plus years ago from a gentleman who did extensive work to the car including a performance rebuild, new BOV, struts, full 3" exhaust (including cat and muffler), and f/r strut bars. Since I purchased it I've installed a new master cylinder, battery, and clutch & pressure plate. The interior is in great shape, with a few minor flaws in the carpet & upholstery. I own several vehicles, and this is usually my first choice when traveling any distance. I recently attended the SEMA show in Las Vegas and drove 800 effortless miles round trip. I also received many compliments on the car. I've owned a couple of these "Starquest's" and this is the only one I've had with the factory CD player. However, the factory stereo needs to be repaired or replaced as do the speakers and power antenna. The other items that need attention are:The driver side retractable seat belt is stuck in the rearward position. The turn signals and the wipers work, but s-l-o-w-l-y. I've changed the flasher, and checked all the lamps to no avail. Just plan on some small repairs. The heater & A/C work well, and the glass is good. The power windows, locks, and factory alarm work as designed.Mechanically the Conquest is ready to travel any distance; in fact I wouldn't hesitate to drive across the country in this car.I would however plan on a new set of tires in the near future. The spare, jack, and even the factory funnel are still with the car. A front bra that I've never had on is also included. I've tried to accurately describe this car to the very best of my ability. I welcome an on site inspection to any prospective buyer or their agent. Any additional photos of any part of the car are available for the asking. I have a lift and have tried to take pictures that most buyers would look for. But again, I'd be happy to send additional photos if necessary. That said, selling on eBay is great when everyone understands that if you don't have the funds, need anyone's permission, or plan on jerking me around, look elsewhere. Buyers with 5 or fewer transactions, OR less than 98% positive feedback MUST contact me prior to bidding.I've bought & sold several vehicles on eBay with great results, and buyers that were very pleased. It goes without saying that you are responsible for shipping, (I can assist with loading) and I expect a non-refundable deposit of $500.00 within 24 hours of the auctions close. Clarkdale AZ 86324 is 100 miles north of Phoenix, near Sedona. The reserve on this car reflects the condition. I realize there are 190K miles, but in reality that's about 7K per yr. On Jul-05-15 at 15:06:13 PDT, seller added the following information: It appears that the Auto-check report shows an odometer discrepancy. I have an AZ title that when registered into my name showed 187466 miles, "Box A" meaning actual mileage.I believe that the issue was clerical, or possibly laziness. I've also received a question regarding the stereo. It does power up, and you can tune a radio station. However the unit will occasionally switch to cassette on it's own. The steering wheel controls for the radio do work.On Jul-06-15 at 16:04:03 PDT, seller added the following information: I received an email asking if a hood strut conversion was done to the car. The previous owner installed the struts which eliminate the prop rod. The hood is an early version with the factory scoop. On Jul-08-15 at 11:09:53 PDT, seller added the following information: A comment from a watcher made it clear that the CD player might be a Mitsubishi unit, but wasn't available on these vehicles from the factory. I'm impressed with how the previous owner made this look as if it was factory installed.
