This vanagon was rescued from getting smashed after setting on a farm for 12 years because it was broke down. The only thing that needed repaired was the slave cylinder. But because it sat so long there have been things that have needed to be replaced. One good thing about it setting so long was that it has not seen much salt. the under body on this thing is phenomenal. There is some surface rust that needs repaired. other than that it runs like a champ. Rare 1.5 original diesel engine. Complete tune up, new tires, new break lines, new battery, new alternator, new slave cylinder, new hydraulic lines, new heater valves, new v-belts, new exhaust, new muffler, and new backing plates. The diesel models of this year are practically impossible to find. I have ripped out the carpet and the interior needs to be set back into place but I have left them out for room to work on it. some of the plastic is getting to be brittle but is still good. Just Be Careful. I am only getting rid of this vehicle to invest time
