1997 Ford Explorer XLT Sport Utility 4-Door 4X4 For sale is a used 1997 Ford Explorer XLT Sport Utility 4-door four wheel drive vehicle with a 4.0 Liter SOHC engine and 5 speed automatic transmission with overdrive. Vehicle was bought new in 1997. Four wheel drive works fine. Vehicle interior is smoke free. Vehicle has factory option tow package and CD player. Vehicle has been regularly serviced and used Mobil 1 from new. Transmission fluid was changed regularly with Mercon V. Rear axle gear has synthetic gear oil. Water pump, power steering pump, front calipers, front wheel bearings, ball joints, fuel pump, muffler, shocks, fuel filter, alternator and others have been replaced. Several brake lines have been replaced. Windshield has a crack. Battery is one year old. Seat fabric is in very good condition. Tires are good. Check engine light is on which could be an O2 sensor. The car has been off the road since the winter and safety check is suggested. It starts well and drives. It would need to be checked out prior to any lengthy driving.
