Up for bids is this 1965 ford mustang coupe. This is a pretty original old car. It is a original vintage burgandy coupe with black deluxe interior. This is a project car as I would call it. It is what I would consider a mild project. I bought this car from a guy that was moving and had taken it apart in hopes of doing a full restoration. Ive seen and bought alot of cars like this where people dream big then once into the project they decide they had gotten in over there head. Well this was one of those cases. I bought the car and put it all back together. It turned out pretty nice considering what it looked like when I started. I would assume this was a nice car before it was taken apart. The pics of it are in its condition now. It is all put back together and is in decent shape. It will neighbor hood drive as I call it. I have driven it around the neighborhood and it seems to do okay. The motor fires right up and the brakes work good. The tires are good. There are three main things that it will need some extra work on that I am sure of. First it will need a new paint job to be nice or show quality. The current paint job has scraches, chips, and shows age. It will need repainting. It will need new seat covers. the rest of the interior is okay but it will need new seat covers. It has a new headliner and new carpet in it. It will also need some additional work on the wiring. We basically put the car back together and got it running but it will need some additional time spent getting some of the stuff working. The body is pretty straight and solid. It has a dent in the passenger door that will need some work. The doors, fenders, hood, trunk lid, lower quarters, trunk floor, floor pans, and all frame rails look good. This is a pretty solid old car. There is a place on the top of the drivers quarter that will need some work where there is some paint or bondo cracking. It looks like it must of been a dent or something that was fixed because the bottoms of the quarters look good. The glass is good. The windshield has a scratch on it but no cracks. As for the drive train the motor and transmission seem to be find. The motor cranks up and idles good. It sounds good. The transmission will go forward and backwards. The brakes work good. The tires are good. As I said earlier I put everything back together. The gas tank looks good. I have not ran the car alot nor have I took it out on the highway just in the neighbor hood but everything seems to be good. I am doing my best to describe the car. This is a 50 year old car that I am selling as a project so understand that this car is not perfect nor am as selling it or advertising it as perfect. I just want to make this clear. If you have questions about anything please ask before bidding or buying. It has a clear title. It has the pony interior. This would make a good project for someone wanting to restore a car and doesn't want a basket case or a rust bucket. This is a fairly solid old car. Just needs some tlc. I will accept cash in person, certified bank check, or bank wire transfer as payment for the car. I can store the car as long as needed but will need full payment within seven days of the end of auction. The car will run to drive on a trailer. I would not recommend driving the car any long distance until you have had time to drive it and make sure it will hold up to a long road trip.
