This Honda Hybrid has averaged 49.8 miles per gallon over the course of it's 155,811 miles, but in the last couple months I've owned it, I have averaged 56.1 miles per gallon. If you know the history of these hybrids, Honda was first to market, but Toyota did their homework and found most wanted a 4 door vehicle, which is why the Prius came out the following year. I bought this car a few months ago for my daughter, but a Dad's idea of economical, is not exactly the same as a daughters. She said she won't drive it, so I have not taken it in to the dealer for updating the maintenance schedule. It is drivable, but I know nothing about these cars, so I have not attempted to troubleshoot the few items needing maintenance. I have driven it very little, since purchasing it, but find it even has plenty of leg room for myself at 6'2". The rear area has a cargo net for securing items, plus a hidden storage area under the back mat. The lights all work as they should, as do the wipers, horn, blower motor, vents, windows, and door locks. The only things I am aware needing maintenance are the two dashboard lights, (engine, IMA), the A/C needs a charge, the radio does not work, and there are a few minor scratches to the paint here and there. I bought this car because I have always found Honda's to be reliable, quick and easy to find qualified technicians to perform maintenance, and economical in terms of ownership costs.
