1973 Highroof Solid Midwest Bus1973 Contempo Camper Highroof bus Very solid original paint bus in the Midwest Bus runs,drives,stops,lights work,etc Exterior: Very nice original paint-Neptune Blue L50K, buffed it out and it looks really nice Very clean body with normal bumps bruises. Nothing major or terrible, light surface rust where it has been nicked or scratched Rockers,wheel wells,bottom of nose are all rust free ,very clean bus for the Midwest Has one spot of rust on the rear panel near engine lid ,under the taillight(pictured) Nose had a tire mount on it which has been removed. Has a ding or two there from being bumped. Original VW sign is intact High roof originally had a vent on the top but is no longer in place ,but is sealed up now New front windshield and rubber, all other glass is in good shape except one piece on the highroof top is cracked Have the rear side markers coming in the mail also Interior: Front seats have seat covers over the original material which is torn up a bit Nice dash. Lights,wipers,interior lights,etc work Rear interior has full width westy bed , wood paneling and rubber mat Not much left of the contempo camping interior except the vent for the gas furnace/stove,etc the propane tank underneath the bus, & some of the wood paneling up top The cargo floor has been stripped and coated with chassis paint ,very clean . Has the stock rubber floor mat's front and back Drivetrain: Freshly rebuilt 1700cc T4 motor with new single Weber carb. With stock German exhaust Stock 4spd manual transmission General Grabber AT2'S on stock rims Bus was a port of San Francisco import ,converted by Contempo camper company in Concord,CA . Spent most of its life out West then ended up in the midwest where it has been in storage for along time.
