THE OVERVIEW Offered for an appreciating new owner is this 1999 BMW 528i MECHANIC SPECIAL! NEEDS NEW ENGINE! Finished in Alpine white over tan leather, this rust-free ALWAYS California BMW 528i is one of a few E39s in my little collection and they all must go due to loss of warehouse here in San Carlos. CA. just 10 miles south of San Francisco airport. [see teaser shots of the others available] With that said, this BARELY-RUNNING BMW has been driven just over 166,000 miles. It needs a new engine after being driven after overheating. The engine is fried, done, no mas! The car might be able to drive onto a transport truck must must be towed! It has leather interior, electric windows and glass moonroof, factory stereo, cold air conditioning, 17" powder-coated black style 42 BMW wheels with fair tires, airbags, anti-lock brakes, traction control and other BMW amenities. It is being sold with a clear and clean California title, current 2016 registration, clean autocheck report showing no accidents and is a great parts car or fixxer upper offered here at NO RESERVE! THE BODY AND TRIM The exterior of this 528 is in good to very good rust-free condition with with looks to be all original glossy white paint. Imperfections include one unattached kidney grille, worn front hood emblem dent and scrape on right front fender and miscellaneous nicks and scratches. THE INTERIOR The interior of this 5er is in good to very good condition with nearly all systems in perfect working order. The leather seats are in respectable condition with a bit of wear. All controls and gauges are in good working order. Weak points inside the car include the driver seat side panel loose along with a few other minor wear spots on leather and other areas. THE DRIVING EXPERIENCE This 1999 528i ran VERY well and goes well down the road with good steering, suspension and quiet exhaust. It currently can not be driven but has great potential to once again be a great road car [or buy one of my others OR better yet buy two or more!] THE DETAILS AND $$$$$ 1.
