Vehicle Detail
For sale is our 1966 Plymouth Valiant Convertible. This car is a great driver.... it starts easy, runs well, and stops as it should. The tires are decent, has the stock rally rims, all of the gauges, the lights, power steering, and turn-signals work. Some of the improvements the past 6 years have been ..... new top, rebuilt metal frame and motor for top, paint touch-up, installed missing Signet trims, replaced seats with newly upholstered Mercedes SL bucket seats (still have the stock seats and they will be included), and replaced the weather stripping around doors, ball joints, belts. The previous owner repainted the car light blue but did not use the stock Mopar blue. The car needs very little; a repaint of the interior metal to match the exterior, visors need some attention, polish the stainless and aluminum trims, find out why the am radio doesn't work, and, if you want a show car, detail the engine bay. There's a piece of stainless missing on the right side of the back-seat interior but I have found the piece and it will be included. We have found NO rust. Feel free to contact me with questions. I'll work with your shipper. On Jun-11-15 at 14:46:33 PDT, seller added the following information: A QUESTION THAT DID NOT GET POSTED: Dear dtom76, Clean looking little car. Does it have any rusted through areas?(floorboards, wheel wells, etc?) In your opinion, would this car be safe to drive on a 200 mile trip? Thanks, Bob, 1852book Dear 1852book, I don't see or think there is any rust on the body nor any blistering indicating rust under the paint - the paint is well adhered and smooth. The undercarriage and wheel wells look solid. The chrome is weathered, if you were going to show, you would want to polish or work on. I bought this car from California. We have driven this car on the highways for 100 mile round trips, so I wouldn't hesitate for 200. I usually don't go over 55 mph, but it probably could. - dtom76On Jun-12-15 at 12:34:28 PDT, seller added the following information: ADDITIONAL INFO that HAS BEEN ASKED: Last year I asked my ASE certified mechanic to do a complete inspection including a test drive.
