This is a NO reserve auction for my 1972 VW Van or Bus project.This Van is missing the engine but I do have the transaxle (not installed). I found this bike at an estate sale in Taos, NM and it had been stored for many years. I was going to restore it but unfortunately due to other concerns I am unable. This southwestern Bus has a really good body. The paint is as shown with an old red repaint over the original yellow. The original seats need recovering; I have the back seat as well but took it out so you could see how good the floor is. Basically the condition is as shown in the photos. The floors are all solid, with a little surface rust in the foot-wells, and a couple small holes on the driver’s side floor. This is about all the rust I could find, which is why I bought it! This is a really cool Bus, and gets lots of attention and comments just sitting in the driveway. It would be a great restoration project as they are so hard to find without major rust issues. It is sold as is as a project. I do have a clear New Mexico title. I will need a $350 deposit immediately after auction end, and the balance by check or MO.
