Vehicle Detail
With the recent purchase of two vintage bikes and a money pit of a restoration under way, my bank account and garage space say it is time to let loose of something to get back in balance. Please see my feedback for the quality of bikes I enjoy owning. I am selling my 1963 R69S which I have owned for a little over two years and was completely restored by Bench Mark Works for a previous owner with receipts including the all important Crank Rebuild receipt by Bley USA. It is matching numbers in all three places and possesses it's original headstock badge. The bike has 2367 miles on the restoration (odometer reset to zero at the time) and has been properly cared for maintained and stored since the work was done. The finish still looks almost as fresh as when the work was done with Vech's usual attention to detail in both cosmetics with great paint and hand done pin stripes, to every mechanical detail sorted to give a bike that starts first kick, idles well and shifts and rides like it should. It has a good list of rare options including a 6.5 gallon tank, real Enduro bags with it's lights wired to the running lights, tachometer, spotlight mirror, passenger bread loaf seat, engine guards, Albert head light mirrors, bar end signals, and it's original Wiedman alloy rims. It has all keys including a working steering lock. It has a complete tool kit and owners manual. Photos taken the day of listing show a stunning example of what is a very affordable, collectable and ridable vintage bike. Plenty of power to cruise at freeway speeds and fine manners on country back roads. I have not slimed it up with Armor All or WD-40 to make it pretty. It shows well enough as it sits. I am a fan of the Ebay process when all parties play fair. I promise no Shill Bidding and no BS. And with saying this, you probably won't see any meaningful bids till the very end. I have not included a BIN but if you are not the kind that likes this process and want to entertain an offer generous enough to end the auction early then I maintain that right to do so. I own this bike with clear North Carolina title in my name. I am a real perfectionist, and I guarantee if you are too this bike will meet your expectations in both cosmetics and more importantly riding experience! It really rides like a new bike. If you are serious about bidding and have questions, please feel free to call me with in the hours of 9:00AM to 9:00PM EST at 828-658-9331. On Jun-12-15 at 17:08:36 PDT, seller added the following information: I have a very impressive detailed two page description in my paperwork of all the restoration work, written by the previous owner who had the work done. It is in a document that can't be added in the photo section but I would be glad to email it directly to any one who would like to see it. Just askā¦.
