For Sale – 1978 CB400A Hawk Hondamatic. I bought this thinking my wife might like to ride but she's happy just being a passenger. So I did basic maintenance and cleaned the carbs and everything seems great. But because of bad tires I've only put about 30 miles on it just to make sure she runs and shifts well. The description is based entirely on this limited experience.This bike is in excellent, all original shape with less than 11,000 miles. She runs great, the paint and seat are excellent, no dents and the chrome is great. I have a clear IL title. She is almost 40 years old so she is not perfect but much better than anyone should expect for a bike this age. The Hondamatic is the perfect starter bike. It has a 2 speed automatic transmission so there is no clutch. Just shift as you go. This is a perfect bike for scooting around town or around campus or for a nice ride in the country.
