1971 Volkswagen WV Bus Westfalia Tin Top Westy - Running Project - Rust Free AZ Bus is in great shape for its age. It has been painted and had some body work done in the past. Paint wasn't very well done, but good for a driver. I had it buffed because it was completely dry and dull looking. Body is pretty straight, and rust free. All glass appears to be original and in good shape, however the windshield is starting to delaminate. Bus does run and drives smoothly. There is an oil leak due to gaskets on the pushrod tubes. Also an exhaust leak on the #4 cylinder. It might need case savers, as this is an earlier motor to make sure the heads stay torqued. Transmission shifts well with no gear popping. Most of the Westfalia interior has been removed, but the seat remains with good cushions. Front seats will need to be re-upholstered, but they are intact. Door panels have been cut for speakers, so they should be replaced. Floors are VERY clean, top and bottom. All in all this would be a great daily driver with a little work, or a great candidate for restoration. I have a clear Arizona title from the previous owner, which is notarized and ready to be transferred. I can get it in my name if that is of any concern.
