Beautiful triple black 1979 Mercedes 450SL, 90,000 Miles Car belonged to the brother of oil baron T. Boone Pickens! This 450SL is truly collector grade; Clean, original, unmolested car: Prior to me purchasing this car last year, it remained in the same Texas family for 34 years; I have a copy of the original title from Texas. The car has always been looked after by professional Mercedes mechanics, and has always been garaged and well cared for its entire life. It just underwent a major MB service, which included fuel filter, recent tune-up (plugs cap/rotor & filters). Also replaced were multiple cooling hoses, belts and multiple gaskets. Fluids changed (brake, antifreeze, transmission). It Idles smooth, accelerates without hesitation, shifting automatically with ease through every gear. Drive it anywhere with confidence! The paint is absolutely beautiful (shiny, deep and clean). This car spent its life garaged in Texas so there is no rust. No Cracks in the dash, no dents and no signs of body damage; the exterior color is black, with black leather interior and black soft top (matching black hard top also included). The interior is in excellent shape, not a rip or stain; carpets are like new as is all the trim. It still has its original black German soft top and the color matching hard top. The soft top is in excellent condition probably never used! The rear window is crystal clear and crack free. The instrumentation works very well, as do all the mechanical on the car. The car has original Mercedes Wire Spoke Wheels that are "Real Knock -Off's" ($5000) option when new and includes wire wheel spare tire. It has an upgraded JVC radio that works beautifully. Antenna works perfectly. The trunk is equally clean; no blemishes on the carpets or the wood trim, no stains or smells. Car has 90,000 miles on it, but those are Texas miles, as you have to drive for several hrs. just to go to the store! Its a big state LOL. But truly, look at the leather seats, NO rips, sags or abuse, they look new, which shows how pampered this car really is. The 450SL still has original owners manual & first aid kit!
