Vehicle Detail

I'm selling my 1972 Buick GS455. It is a true GS 455 with correct VIN and firewall codes. Not a clone. Not a tribute. The real thing. The VIN and Firewall codes are as follows;4G37U2H1287664=BUICKG=GS37=MODELU=455 4 Barrel2=1972H=FLINT FACTORY128766=Build sequenceFIREWALL TAGST7243437=SERIESFL1-FLINT131948=BODYTR188=Black Vinyl SeatsA51=Bucket seats75=Fire Red3=Black Vinyl Top455 1238861= Casting Number (late 1971 to mid 1972)WF= 455 4 barrelOb 4=build date code It had a frame off restoration about 3 years ago. The car has been driven less than a 1,000 miles since the restoration. Hence the reason I'm selling it. I just don't have the time to drive it.The frame was sandblasted, primed and painted. All new body/frame mounts. The body was painted at the same time and has no rust is driver quality. No rust bubbles or signs of bondo and has recently been professionally buffed. There was no rust repair needed as the body and frame were solid. The power brake pads and rotors were also replaced during the restoration. Fronts are disc. Front suspension and steering components were completely gone through at restoration. It steers and drives very nice. Has a new battery. New fuel tank. All glass is good with no cracks. The bumpers were rechromed Platinum Plus Triple plated by Keystone. The rear bumper is the optional N25 code where the new 2 1/2" dual exhaust is routed through the rectangular hole in the bumper. Note the new impact strips . Also the unusual and correct front and rear bumper guards (also rechromed) Also has the factory stainless steel upper peak molding below the side windows The vinyl top was also replaced at that time and has no wrinkles remaining in like new condition. The black vinyl interior is correct with no tears or cracks. All weatherstripping is in great condition. Both side sport mirrorrs.New headliner, sail panels and sunvisors were installed during the restoration. The padded dash has no cracks. The instrument panel is very good with nice chrome trim and sports a factory tachometer, oil pressure, coolant temperature. Also has aftermarket mechanical oil pressure and coolant temperature under dash. The engine compartment is all correct with no rustThe 455 is stock correct casting number with correct WF stamp with original Rochestor Quadrajet carburetor and does not burn oil. I installed a Pertonix electronic ignition in the distributor. Also has a High-flow oil pump. Sounds like only a 455 can, no lifter or abnormal noises. There are no leaks from the engine or power steering pump. It has a fresh Northland oil change with AC Delco filter. As far as electrical, the turn signals don't work everything else seems OK. The A/C pump was rebuilt but never charged. All new A/C hoses. The 400 automatic transmission was recently serviced with new filter and oil. It is stock and shifts smooth. The rear differential is a 3.08 gear ratio. The gears were inspected with new oil added. All 4 tires are P245R60-15 BF Goodrich Radial TA raised white lettered with less than 1,000 miles on them. Some of the nubs are still showing. Mounted on 4 chrome 15" Buick Ralley wheels. The spare is a Uniroyal Radial P235R60-15 50% tread mounted on a chrome Buick Ralley wheel. Original jack is included.I am not a dealer or car jockey. I enjoy my garage time with this GS as therapy. It's not a hurry up fixup and flip. This is your chance to buy a car that's had a lot of time and money spent on it. Then get in and drive it straight to a car show. Odds are you'll have the only true GS455 there. You must have at least 5 successful purchases on ebay or contact me first or I will block your bid.Do not bid if you don't have the money to buy.I have 100% positive feedback and rated "above standard" in 10 years of selling on ebay. Have more pictures with interior. Ran out of room to post them all.If you have any questions or would like more pictures or link to video please call.515-460-0952Thanks for looking, Rick
