Vehicle Detail
1989 Chevrolet Camaro IROC-Z, rare 5.7L (L98) engine, 700R4 automatic with overdrive transmission, 127,994 miles, 4 wheel disc brakes with the large rotors and PBR calipers on the rear, (GH3) 2.77 rear axle, (G80) limited slip differential, delayed wipers, cruise control, air conditioning, power hatch release. This is an all original, numbers matching 1989 IROC-Z with the hard top, only thing missing is the radio. I believe the paint to be original as its a 20 footer, original wheels, all the glass is good. Interior is good, carpet is clean and the seat are good with no tears, but have minimal wear, headliner is good, door panels are good. Original fog lights are there and not broken. All the ground effect/spoilers are there but have some scratches and a little damage to the passenger side ground effect. Car runs and drives pretty good. It has different fuel injectors that have an increased pressure. It seems to have a shift kit in the transmission, shifts hard. It has been recently tuned up, has a new battery and the dual electric fans work as they should (rare). The rear hatch motor works. No rust anywhere on this car. It has a dent behind the right rear wheel about 6 inches long, I tried to get in a picture but don't know how well you can see it. The passenger side ground effect has a little damage (easy fix on fiberglass). The hatch shocks are good and I replaced the hood shocks. The car is pretty fast for what it was in 1989. I wouldn't consider it fast by todays standards and technology available. I bought this car with the intention of making it a pro-touring car out of it with a LS engine and a 6 speed trans. The hard top is more desirable for handling due to the increased rigidity. I'm selling the car because I've bought some land and need to get it paid off so I can start a house. I mentioned in the condition description that the car had some little details that need to be worked out to make it tip top. I'll try to list those to the best of my knowledge and memory. I'm very picky and this is what I would want to fix or replace if I was going to keep it. A lot of these may not bother the majority of people, but again, I'm picky. The material on the drivers side sun visor is loose and hanging down, the tachometer don't work right, it no longer has leather on the steering wheel, it looks like it has a cheap aftermarket dash pad, missing the brake pedal pad, the interior panels in the back are loose and need the plastic nuts the large screws go into to tighten it all up, the very back panel has had the light broken out of it and the light (U25) is missing, the power door locks don't work, the sliding hatch release don't work, A/C don't work, fog lights don't work, the exhaust is cut off before the rear axle but it does have a muffler on it, needs tires (dry rotted), its missing the distributor cover that bolts onto the TPI unit, the factory engine compartment light (U26) is missing. I've got a clear NMVTIS report that goes back to 1997 and indicates the car has been in the south since then, titled in Florida, North Carolina and then Alabama. I currently have a clear Georgia title. The car is in Dalton, GA 30720. Low and very reasonable reserve.
