Vehicle Detail
1969 Ford Mustang Convertible, runs very well, you could get in and drive it tomorrow, I have a 3 year old grandson who cruises with me so you KNOW it is safe to drive, I may risk myself but I would never risk the safety of my grandson! The engine was replaced many years ago with a 332 truck engine so she does not have matching numbers, and she is a work in progress, I have made her mechanically safe (Work was done by a mechanic and myself) before Lupus put the brakes on me and my restoration. Her back seat is brand new the front passenger seat is in good condition, but drivers seat has a some wear and tear. Top is in good condition, and all electronics to lower the top work perfectly. No rust in trunk, she is a Arizona car. (See photo ) Original 1970 Cragar wheels with the locks, and new tires. The bad: She does have a small dent on the trunk (1 inch by 2 inch) and some paint chipped by the doors and a 4 inch scrape in the paint in passenger door. And at some point and time she was involved in a fender bender and does need slight body work in the front end (See photo) but there is no dent just some questionable putty work aprox 8 inches long, there is NO rust there it is all putty in just that area, again, I was making her mechanically safe before I moved on to her body and paint. NO RUST IN DOORS OR FLOORBOARDS. Her paint is still bright and in good shape so don't get me wrong there, it's the little things that someone restoring a car notice. Her door plate although partial worn down shows she was built in Dearborn, MI August 1969, Candy Apple Red with Black interior, Convertible, Z code 429 Boss was the original engine. I did not change the engine out, it was done years before I purchased her but the engine is sound and I have put a lot of time and work into her. (Please this is not a typo it is a 332 Ford engine) We have fixed all leaks and drive line including steering box. She has been sitting covered (Car cover will be included ) since February but has been started on a regular basis and although Fords can at times be cold blooded she fires right up. I am NOT a professional mechanic and when something was in question I left it to the pros, I realize that you may read a lot of listings but she is really a great car and I hate to see her go, and had planed on this being my project to restore her to her glory days, I have been working and driving Mustangs for 35 years and granted there is always something new to learn, but she is a solid car. Please contact me at 928-379-6812 with any questions, and please note the negative feedback is from a buyer that "changed their mind" within minutes of the car selling without contacting us at all, ebay is working on clearing this for us. Thank you!!
