Vehicle Detail
I have up for sale my CB650 project. The bike was my neighbors daily rider until last year when he bought a new one. He started it back in march, but it wouldn't run without the choke, so he sold it to me. I had a local guy check it out, and he said the carbs were gummed up from being stored with ethanol gas in it. I took the carbs off, sent them to be cleaned at a backyard small engine shop, and then the owner moved (with my carbs apparently). I have since purchased a set of carbs from here on eBay, but they will need to be rebuilt, and it WILL need carb boots, and filters. (since they were on my other carbs). I have painted the bike a brownish gold and yellow, its not perfect, but it IS NOT rattle-can. It was painted with actual automotive paint. Now I am laid off, so no more money to finish. The bike has aftermarket seat, tail light, and a Harley tank (obviously). The rear tire needs to be replaced, but I have a new one that goes with it. The signal lights were removed before I bought it. Its not perfect, but it was a very fast, very nice bike, just needs carb rebuild, boots and filters. I encourage anyone interested to come look before you bid, just the paint, tank, and seat are well worth the (very low) reserve. On May-06-15 at 06:38:47 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had a couple of questions about this, so here goes. At someones request yesterday I tried cranking the bike with starting fluid, and it started instantly. Also yes, it is for sale locally. On May-06-15 at 12:52:08 PDT, seller added the following information: UPDATE: A gentlemen on here was nice enough to inform me how to "rig up" a set of boots. They actually work, so I did install the carbs. The carbs are ALL going to need kits, but the bike WILL hit and try to run, but the carbs leaking through the overflows and flooding the bike badly. On May-08-15 at 06:55:10 PDT, seller added the following information: I have had several questions about this, so here goes. YES the bid has ALMOST hit reserve, VERY close anyway. Also, if you have low or negative feedback, contact me before bidding.
