For Sale - 1979 Fiat Pininfarina Spider 2000. Convertible, 5 Speed manual transmission, silver color paint, burgundy interior. This beautiful classic convertible is in excellent cosmetic and mechanical condition with no mechanical issues or needed work. The car has 71,000 original miles and has been garage kept since the restoration. Numerous recent upgrades and improvements have been completed. The car was mostly disassembled, cleaned, painted, and reassembled with many parts replaced as needed or by choice. Highlights include: Rust free body, all new suspension with performance shocks and springs, spotless engine and engine bay (some parts powder coated), new weber carburetor (performance upgrade), custom exhaust system (performance upgrade) nice sound, but not too loud, new paint job (including engine bay, door jambs, and trunk). The paint color is not significantly different from the original color - it is now “Bond Silver “from the James Bond Aston Martin DB5. The car has new retro style bumpers, new custom made carpeting, new Alpine Radio / CD Player / I-pod stereo system with separate amplifier and 4 Boston Acoustics Speakers. This is a partial list of the improvements which cost way more than the asking price. This is a car that must be seen and drove to appreciate. The car also comes with a custom car cover and tonneau cover (both in excellent condition) and other extras. This is a 35 year old car and is not in perfect or “concourse” condition, however, I believe the pictures show the level of work that has been done. The car is easy to drive and handles like a dream. Fiats are simple to work on and maintain, any mechanic can work on these cars and parts are readily available and affordable.
