You are Bidding on a 1998 Dodge Grand Caravan with power side door and wheelchair ramp (with remote). The van is in very good condition considering its age. It has a few cosmetic blemishes but is very functional and reliable. Currently the van has 95,795 miles on it. It had a new "rebuilt" engine installed in February 2014 at 92,480 miles. The new engine came with a 3 year, 100K mile warranty. Since putting in the new engine the van has been driven from New Orleans, LA to Charlotte, NC (700 miles) and on periodic short trips to doctor appointments, church and movie thearter. The new engine has only 3,320 miles on it. Everything on the van works. Tires and battery were also recently replaced. The only problem that I am aware of is the ABS sensor light stays on, on the dashboard, it has been this way for several months. The brakes work fine (we have never locked them up to see if anti-lock function worked) and we have not gotten this checked. We used the van for the past two years to transport my father who recently passed away from ALS. We bought it used from eBay in 2013. The Van has an EZ Lock Wheelchair docking system that we have never used, but seems to work fine. The van floor has been professionally lowered by Braun Corporation to accommodate a wheelchair. The front passenger seat can be removed to accommodate wheelchair riding next to driver. Securing straps are included and the straps lock into specially mounted brackets on the floor. There is a separate remote which can allow for opening the side door and lowering the ramp. This can also be done from the driver center console by a switch. There is also a switch in the backseat to operate the ramp automatically or manually. The van has a full bench seat across the back with seating for three passengers (just like any minivan). Van also has a full-sized spare with jack which sits in the hatch back storage area. The power ramp control system is located inside of the rear panel where the jack would normally be housed. These vehicles are very expensive new or used. Hopefully this will be a low cost option for someone in need of handicapped transportation. The vehicle is being sold "AS IS" with no warranty other than what is offered by the rebuilt engine manufacturer. We cannot deliver this vehicle, it must be picked up, or buyer must arrange for a transportation company to pick-up and deliver vehicle. Ebay Motors offers several 3rd party delivery options. PayPal deposit of $300 must be made within 24 hours of auction ending. Deposit will be subtracted from selling price and balance must be paid in cash or certified check prior to taking delivery of the van. Winning bidder will have 10 days to arrange pickup and payment. After 10 days deposit will be forfeited and the van will be re-listed on eBay. If van does not meet expectations and buyer wants to cancel the sale after making the $300 deposit (prior to 10 day full payment requirement), $150 of the deposit will be refunded. 100% of the deposit will be refunded if something significant (costing over $500 to repair) is found to be wrong with the vehicle that was not disclosed in this listing.
