This is a 1972 Volkswagen Super Beetle with a 1974 stock 1600 cc dual port engine and a 1974 transaxle. The engine and transaxle are both in working condition and I have been driving this car as a back-up vehicle. The body has significant rust. The floor pans are rusted through in some areas and the heater channels are rusted out. The passenger door opens and closes poorly due to a rusted out door post. The pictures provide the potential buyer with a good understanding of the condition of the body. The front section has been replaced and bolted onto the frame. The strut frame on the driver's side has been reinforced, as shown in the provided pictures. This car is a clunker and has no guarantees. It is a project car, a parts car, or a back-up vehicle. The front seats were reupholstered many years ago and are in fair condition. On Apr-11-15 at 23:23:14 PDT, seller added the following information: It should be noted that the muffler is louder than normal due to rust holes, but not excessively loud. Also, there is a slow leak in the right rear tire.
