This gorgeous Mercedes 300CD was finished in Barolo Red ( MB color code 540 ) which looks more like burgundy with Palomino color MB-Tex interior . It is a very rare color combination . I have not seen another one like it , it really stands out . The body is still in amazing shape and the paint still shines like on a much newer car . There are only a couple of very minor scratches on it , which are hard to notice . The interior is in great condition . There are no rips or tears on the seats , the carpets and the headliner are clean and the wood accents are still shiny . This 30 year old car has always been pampered and it shows . The services have been done on time and it runs terrific . It always starts up right away and has lots of power from the get go . You can comfortably cruise with 85-90 miles per hour and still get 26 miles per gallon of diesel . All the gauges work the way they should . Even the original Becker stereo still works properly with the power antenna going up and down . The air-conditioning blows ice cold with the climate control working correctly . This car really is a blast to drive . It handles very solid and you feel very safe driving it . The 5 cylinder diesel engine is considered the most reliable engine Mercedes ever made . These cars are known to go for over 600k miles without needing mayor engine work , if they are maintained well . You often see them here on Ebay with very high miles and still running well . Our 300CD has only 177k miles on and it runs accordingly . I did upload many extra pictures . Please check them out carefully , as they can describe the car better than i can .
