Vehicle Detail
This car has new wheels and tires, new interior upholstry, runs great -- no rust as it was an Arizona car most of it's life. Dash pad has no cracks. I’ve kept this car in dry storage since I bought it while driving it every couple of weeks to work – a fifteen-minute drive on the highway – one direction. The paint is OK, but would need new paint to live up to it's potential. When I bought it - it leaked oil at the engine to transmission seal -- so while both the engine and transmission were out I sent the transmission off and had it professionally rebuilt. The shifter shifts very smoothly. New alternator and weber carbs. Wheels and tires are brand new. One small hail mark on the edge of the rear trunk and a small dent on left hand rear fender. It pops out -- but returns back too easily if a mechanic presses against it with his knee when working in the engine bay. Approximately 90,000 miles. Everything works great except heater blower for heat exchange air needs rewiring at the floor switch. This car runs great. I was told when I bought it in the summer of 2010 that the engine had great compression and I believe it - as it has lots of power. There is a small engine oil leak that hasn’t shown up on the garage floor for me – but gets on the heat exchangers when it has set for a while. I’ve over stated the negative as it is my belief that it is the responsibility of the seller to do so if the buyers might not be able to actually see and drive the car before buying. When I first saw this car I was hit buy how clean a car it was and how much potential it has. This car stands tall in my eyes. I’m selling as I have two 914’s and I’m keeping the other one. Please look at the pictures carefully. On Mar-31-15 at 20:36:21 PDT, seller added the following information: I forgot to put in that the windshield has a very tiny chip -- low on drivers side. The radio is new of the kind that looks traditional but is a modern radio with usb etc. The door side panels have a fiberglass substrate instead of card board. Lloyd floor mats.
