This 1979 Chevrolet Camaro is being sold for a friend. That being stated, the car is a joy to drive with no mechanical issues to worry about. It has never seen winter, spending the cold months safety wrapped in car cover until the next summers car shows. From a distance the gold metal flake paint first catches the eye, then as you move by the hue of the gold paint changes, always drawing in crowds of enthusiasts. For about the last decade the car has served primarily as a show car. Under the hood the engine bay has been painted with additions of polished chrome and anodized aluminum. Edelbrock valve covers and matching air filter are new with a polished Edelbrock carburetor showing nicely also. When you fire it up the rumble is smooth from the big block and dual exhaust. The sound is evidence of a still street friendly camshaft. Inside the car there have been cosmetic upgrades including a new black headliner and carpet. For added functionality there is both a new aftermarket oil pressure and coolant temperature gauge. The shifter has also been upgraded to a B&M quicksilver shifter. It does not have a shift kit and the transmission feels as good new. Driving in traffic is easy with power steering and brakes, the seats are all comfortable and even the window glass is new. The steering is very good for a car from that era, and the tires have less then 200 miles on them. The big block motor makes plenty of torque and is responsive with ignition and carburetor upgrades. Tuning on this car was done so that it would operate with no headaches or worries.
