Here is a true 1968 Chevrolet SS Chevelle. This is one outstanding hot rod! The outside of this car is painted in a near new two stage anthratic gray with black SS stripes, all of which is in great condition. The original black interior has been updated with front seats that are black cloth wrap around reclining bucket seats, the rear seat is black vinyl. The gages are all Autometer Sport Comps and all function accurately. The windows are all power. There is a Pioneer sound system, with the head unit concealed in the glovebox. The original A/C has been updated with a "Vintage Air" system and converted to a 134a freon. The sound of the Hooker headers, provide a nice contrast to the audio system as the engine noise passes thru the dual exhausts. The car is badged as having the 396 engine, but it has been modified to a 7.4 liter, 454 cubic inch monster engine pumping out 500 Horses. This engine is so clean you can eat off of it. Complete with a MSD ignition, custom radiator with dual 14" electric pull drive mounted fans, braided lines, and more.....it's simply immaculate. The transmission is a "Gear Vendor" overdrive that can convert the built turbo 400, from automatic to manual at the flip of a switch making it a 6 speed tranny. This is paired with a 12 bolt rear end. At freeway speeds the overdrive allows it to cruise at 2600 rpm at 70 mph with a 3:73 rear gear ratio. The front suspension has been upgraded with larger Willwood disc brakes with drum rears, tubular "A" arms and sway bars front and rear. The wheels are all American Racing Hopster "Big Window" fully polished wheels measuring 17" x 8.5" with 245/45ZR17 tires and still look new. The prior owner kept most of his receipts from building this awesome street legal hot rod. This car will not disappoint you in looks or performance.
