For sale is my beloved 2001 F350 Lariat with the legendary 7.3 Turbo Diesel. The truck has the 4R100 automatic transmission that shifts smoothly through all the gears and has about 10k miles left before the next scheduled fluid change. 4x4 works great with new transfer case fluid in June of last year. As you can see from the below lists, the truck is mechanically sound but it has the character to be expected of a work truck of its age. None of the problems it has impairs its ability to perform an enormous amount of work, they simply detract from its aesthetic appeal and offer minor inconveniences every now and then. The Good:-New injectors, o-rings, glow plugs and valve cover gaskets/wiring harness Sept '12-Rebuilt fuel bowl and fuel drain valve-Wired for EGT pyrometer (sensor not installed)-5k mile oil changes with Rotella-T and Lucas additives-Solid drive train-K&N cold air intake-Banks 4" exhaust-5th wheel rails with gooseneck converter-Trailer brakes with all new connectors and wiring-Power everything-Truck bed tool box included-All new brake calipers in last year-New steering stabilizer-Matched Firestone Destination A/T tires The Not-So-Good:-Front seats have tears in the leather-Carpet torn on passenger side-Paint peeling is several spots-Flex plate has two worn spots causing intermittent starter pinion engagement every now and then. (~1 out of 20 starts)-Washer pump does not work (pump is good but does not turn on when commanded)-Drivers side 4wd hub sometimes requires manual locking The CB radio does not come with the truck but the trailer brake controller does.
