This NICE 1996 Volvo 850 GLT needs a new home! This car is in nice shape in and out (see pics), runs and drives well, and the exhaust, glass, brakes, and tires are all in good shape. The car is fully loaded and features side impact airbags, CD, power windows and mirrors, cruise, tilt, power moon roof, etc...The odometer stopped working at 111570 miles, and the actual mileage is approximately 145000. This is an easy repair, and a Volvo dealership can easily access the car's computer to get the exact mileage and reset the odometer if so desired. Yes, the speedometer still works fine! The exterior of the car is in nice shape (again, see pics) and has no rust. The paint looks good and still has a nice shine (see pics), but there are the usual dings and scratches that one would expect on a car of this age. There is a scrape (not a dent!) on the passenger side rear quarter panel at the wheelwell (see pics -- easy touch up), and some deeper scratches on the driver's side lower rear quarter panel behind the rear wheel (again, see pics!) All in all however, this is a NICE LOOKING CAR! The interior is in nice condition as well (again, see pics). Everything works as it should, and the leather upholstery shows only minimal wear that one would expect. There are however several areas that could use a simple cleaning. The headliner is starting to come down in the rear (common on these cars), but is NOT hanging down! The engine starts easily, runs smoothly, and the transmission shifts as it should. There are NO CHECK ENGINE LIGHTS ON, however the "service" light does come on when the car is started and goes out soon after. NOTE: This is just the reminder light that tells the driver that the routine service is due, and has NO effect on how the car runs! Any Volvo dealership can reset the light. Also, if the car has been sitting for some days, one can smell a faint odor of coolant when the car warms up. No, the car does not leak coolant, and no, the car DOES NOT run hot. I believe that it is from the water pump gasket. However, I believe that the water pump itself is fine as there is no bearing noise coming from it. This is an easy fix... I'm just trying to be as honest as possible! This 1996 Volvo 850 GLT also has a newer battery (again, see pics), the timing belt has been replaced, and in the last year the brake lines, pads, and rotors have been replaced, as well as most of the front suspension components! Again, this car drives beautifully!!! It also comes with it's original owner's manual and warranty booklet!
