I bought this Vanagon with the intention of using it to convert a tin top Syncro I have. Since purchasing this I found a Westfalia Syncro so I no longer need this. I have contemplated keeping it to restore due to the rising prices of Vanagons but realize I have way too many projects so it is time to pass this on to someone else. The condition is actually not as bad as it looks, there is some seam rust but nothing too bad. This Van is originally from North Carolina so it hasn't seen any winter weather, the underside and everything else is very solid. All of the camper interior is missing, in fact only the front seats are there but the seats and door panels are all in quite good shape! It is an automatic, engine appears to be complete, does not have A/C. Instrument cluster has been removed so maybe it needs a master cylinder? It also appears they started on some engine work, maybe just minor, the air cleaner assembly is off but I have done nothing to investigate or even try to start it. Obviously needs a top canvas but it raises and lowers easily, the bedding is in good shape and the fiberglass is in good shape as well. Overall it is really too nice to scrap or even part out especially with the skyrocketing prices of these lately. I purchased this van at a dealers auction using a friends dealership number but it does have a good North Carolina title. Don't know what else to say, if you have any questions feel free to ask.
