Vehicle Detail
This auction is for a 1973 Pontiac Grandville 2 door. It has the original Pontiac 455 in it. This car is unmolested except for the exhaust as the pictures show. Clean/Clear Title. Options: Power windows, cruise control , automatic (turbo 400), power brakes, power steering, power drivers seat (works too). Does NOT have a posi rear. Interior: Pretty nice for the age. The dash is near Perfect with no cracks. The seats are in excellent shape. Carpet and Headliner are presentable but not great. The steering wheel is also extremely nice. The door panels are pretty nice as well. Exterior: The quarter panels and the front fenders are rusted considerably. The quarter drop offs look decent as do the inner rockers. Cannot see the outer rockers for the moldings but suspect nothing horrible. The trunk pan is very bad in several spots and the left rear frame rail is rusted through at the rear most body mount. Frame looks good other than left rear mount. The doors show well on the outside but have rust at the bottom that is far worse than surface rust. The Radiator support looks very good. The floor pans don't have any visible holes that I saw but suspect some repair would be necessary if the carpet was removed and you poked around a little. I suspect some water leaks as there has been some condensation after a rain around the top of the windshield. Overall: This car is restorable but a better parts car. It has the 455 which is incredibly difficult to find these days. This car runs and drives and stops. It is running off a 1 gallon can positioned under the hood as the fuel tank smells very bad but suspect removal and cleaning would get it running off the cars tank. It will run onto a trailer no problem. It is not a turn key daily driver but could be. We put a master cylinder on it and repaired 2 rusty brake lines to get the brakes working however the Red Brake Light is Illuminated. All the lights appear to function. The engine runs Excellent!!!!!! No noises or obvious leaks, however it has not run more than 10 minutes at time so I cannot say the cooling system wont need hoses, or other. This car is a project and/or parts car. Conditions of Sale: If you are the high bidder you own the car and must pay for it. If you have questions, ask them prior to bidding. It has a clean clear title but does not come with tags and/or insurance. YOU MUST HAVE IT TOWED. $500 PayPal deposit due within 24 hours of end of auction. The balance of the payment is due in CASH. Absolutely no exceptions, and is due within 7 days of end of the auction. U.S. Byers only, if don't have a U.S. address AND are not a citizen, don't bid. Please call with (intelligent) questions: Justin 443-480-2779 On Feb-10-15 at 17:46:17 PST, seller added the following information: Regarding the Fender Length Question: According to the 1973 Mitchell Collision Estimating Guide, the fenders for ALL 1973 Pontiac full size cars are all the same except for the wagons with wood décor. This means there is no difference in the Catalina fenders and the Grandville fenders. The radiator support and hood are also the same between the Catalina and Grandville. The grill is different. On Feb-12-15 at 06:02:44 PST, seller added the following information: Roof: there is something no so nice going on under the vinyl top. I have no idea how bad it is but did not mention this in the prior description. Hood: the hood has significant surface rust and appears to have not had paint on it for quite some time. It appears salvageable but is not a quick sand and paint. This car is not a cherry "barn find" and is priced accordingly. Please look at the pictures carefully and ask appropriate questions.
