BUY IT NOW PRICE WAS JUST REDUCED $500 TO SELL QUICKLY! WIFE WANTS ROOM IN GARAGE FOR HER CAR! AMAZING PRICE FOR SUCH A NICE CAR! This listing is for a 1977 MGB Convertible California car with 95,000mi, 4 spd in good running condition. The car has been on a non-op since 2011, kept in a garage and ran a minimum of once a month to keep in good running order. The fuel pump was recently replaced as it had a minor leak. I purchased this car because I always wanted one and was looking for a driver not a car to completely restore. This car is tight, drives well and really doesn't need much to be used as a driver. It is a 38 year old car that is in original condition so it also not brand new; but for this price in my opinion a very nice example that doesn't have a rusted out undercarriage like many East Coast cars. I am selling because my wife wasn't exactly thrilled that I bought the car as I have a 1965 VW Bug I am restoring and a 1973 Opel GT I just completed. The Good Runs well, starts right up every time and idles at 800RPM Top is in good condition (not perfect) and this is the first year for the zippered rear window 1977 was the first year for front and rear sway bars so car handles better than 75-76 model years Carpet kit was installed at some point, looks great Two sets of keys with original owners manual Pioneer AM/FM Cassette player with two speakers sounds good - don't have a cassette to test Dash clock still works No rust that I could find; very rare for these cars. Body is very straight Original MG luggage rack Interior is in nice original condition Transmission shifts well with good clutchThe oil, plugs, wires, cap, rotor and fuel filter were just changed. What you should know Brakes work well but seem a little spongy; I was going to change brake fluid and bleed just to clean the lines Dash has many cracks and had a carpet dash mat to cover 6" crack in windshield - see photoSeat velour is thin, I have seat covers that will be included. Ebay has a nice vinyl set for $150 Windshield lower weather stripping is coming up (new one included) Car was painted white over original burgundy. Paint looks good from 10 feet, Could be polished and look good as a daily driverIf purchased in California I will NOT be able to provide a smog certification; it did pass the last time it was registered and stored. As I mentioned the car has been on a non-op since 2011 so the carburetor and timing need adjustment for it to receive the certificate. You are welcome to test drive the car. The car has a clean title (in hand) and is registered as a non-operational vehicle so no back fees from DMV if being registered in California. CAR IS FOR SALE LOCALLY SO AUCTION CAN END AT ANY TIME. CAR IS BEING SOLD AS IS AND WHERE IS. PLEASE LET ME KNOW IF I CAN HELP WITH TRANSPORT AND PLEASE ASK ME ANY QUESTIONS. I WILL DO MY BEST TO RESPOND QUICKLY.
