Are you looking for an economical work truck? This '96 Dodge Dakota has an 8 ft. bed and is an ideal utility vehicle. I've owned it 15 years and the V6 engine and transmission are reliable. Although it has high mileage, I've invested $2,300 in new parts in the past 13 months. It will still be useful for years to come. It has new tires, rear brakes (shoes and drums), ball joints, wheel bearings, heater, muffler and tailpipe, and coolant flush. The brake lines (metal) were just redone too! The engine compartment is uncluttered and easy to access for maintenance.I have taken excellent care of this truck throughout its lifetime, including regular oil changes and washing/waxing it by hand. You're welcome to look at all my maintenance records. The majority of the body is rust-free, but there is some rust around wheel wells and rear bumper. It comes with snow tires for the rear wheels mounted on separate rims. 21 MPG. Has oil pan heater for cold weather starting. The fuel pump must be replaced before the truck will run again. I'm selling it AS IS, so you could either: Replace the fuel pump for $720 at the Midas shop where the truck currently is (7109 North Route 83; Mundelein, IL 60060)Or Have the truck towed and repair it elsewhere.
