When the ZO6 name was brought back from ’63 to designate the new high performance Corvette, you knew it was going to be very special indeed. And it was. The base Coupes and Convertibles were excellent in their own right. They were the best Corvettes built up to that point. But the ZO6 was in a separate class! From its wide body, utilizing portions of carbon fiber over huge rubber, the very light and very strong all aluminum Hydro-formed frame, to it’s all business interior, Everything about the car screamed performance. But, the best part was what was lurking under the hood of this beast; the all new, all aluminum 4-2-7 LS-7 small block V8 pumping out 505 chest pounding horsepower! And the numbers didn’t lie! This car was a monster! With 0-60 times in under 4 seconds and the ¼ mile in under 12 seconds this was the fastest Corvette ever built!
