Up for auction I have a very nice 2004 40th anniversary Ford Mustang GT convertible. I purchased it this morning at an online insurance auction. It is sitting at the insurance holding lot in Elgin IL. 60120. I have not seen this car personally so all I have to go by are the photos. Please examine the photos and form your own opinion as to what needs to be done for repairs. It looks to me that it will need a left rear quarter panel as well as the drivers door. The rear differential will most likely need to be replaced as well. The auction issued verification that it runs and drives meaning that it starts up, pulls forward and goes into reverse. Naturally would not be driveable on road until the rear diff. is replaced. This GT has a low 91,989 miles on it and is loaded with all options including leather. Looks to be all stock and very well taken care of. I believe it will be a very easy fix and a great project for someone. It is powered by a 4.6 liter V8 with a 5 speed manual transmission.
