Vehicle Detail
This is an original real deal pickup from a real Esso station. It was purchased by the station owner around 1940 and used to pickup parts and push cars around. It was housed there until the late 80's when the station closed. The truck was driven about 10 years ago without an issue. it was stripped to the frame and from there on all parts on the truck were restored. What is there is what was there since the 40's. Just restored. The model B 4cyl motor with fuel pump was rebuilt e 80's. It ran well and didn't smoke. The trans shifted well. I had the radiator rebuilt. I put new tires on the reversed 1940 ford rims. I installed all new brake lines. It has a new master cylinder too. The front end was all rebuilt with new bushings and king pins. All new body webbing. Ect. It still needs the interior redone. It's all there but not in good shape. Just cool original. It will need to be wired. It will also need the brake pads and hardware replaced. there are some other things i'm sure to make it roadworthy. It is a project for sure. As for rust, it needs new bed mount rails and has some issues on front edge of the rear fenders. I wouldn't change it, but it is up to you. The engine is an original 32 4cyl with fuel pump. The title is correct and in my name. It is located in southern nj and I can assist with loading. If serious I can be reached at 856-498-o637. Thanks for the interest and have a good day. On Jan-24-15 at 00:40:59 PST, seller added the following information: I have had a number of calls asking about this truck. The truck is a 1932 model B. eBay does not offer a model B category as a choice of listing. I have no problem storing this truck inside my building for up to 45 days while arrangements are made for shipping. I do ask that payment be made in full within 10 days. I will then send you the title certified mail at that time and you will be able to insure the truck while it is waiting to ship. Otherwise, I thank you for all the great questions. This is original paint from the 40's. It is not a faux finish. It's real. The esso lettering is real too. I did not add that. This truck is a great pice of history. I really hope it goes to a good home. Good luck and thank you for all the interest.
