Vehicle Detail
1997 Ford E250 Asking $2,400 OBO 5.7L (347 c.i.d.) gasoline engine Automatic 3spd with Overdrive 99,307 original miles AM/FM CD Pracically Brand New Tires Less than 100 miles on new 10 ply tires Serpentine belt replaced at 60K AmericanVan heavy-duty steel partition with locking sliding door Side and back windows caged AmericanVan rubber floor mat in back Must pick up from Falling Waters, WV What's wrong with it? Needs fuel filter (due at 100K mile maintenance). No. 6 injector lead (a mouse chewed it a few years ago, electrical taped it back together and ran fine for past 5 years. I guess it needs new tape.) They (Ford) had a problem for that year with the heat/ac "blend door actuator shaft" cracking, meaning the motor turns but temperature doesn't change. Takes 15 minutes to switch over in Spring (pull the knee panel and remove a screw to close blend door for A/C)or Fall (remove knee panel and heater-core cover to replace screw to hold blend door open for heat) to A/C or heat, and the heat will cook and the A/C will freeze. And, no, it doesn't look all jimmy-rigged when it's done. The windshield washer line popped off, or broke, somewhere. So it doesn't squirt. It's not the pump, because fluid comes up and will drip out of the cowl, but it doesn't make it to the nozzles. And, I had just filled it with the good Rain-X "de-icer" juice, so it's ready when you are. That's it, other than minor cosmetic damage like some scratches and dented bumper and left rear door. Good, solid runner. Good suspension, frame, brakes.
