What I have for sale today a fairly rare 1972 VW Bus Contempo Camper High Top. This bus is a fairly solid Ca. bus. The interior in this bus is very complete and in pretty decent shape. Including the Z-bed, sink, water tank, stove, tables, closets, chemical toilet including extra chemical additive, refrigerator, propane heater etc. It has a very nice awning included also. Also included are other little nicknacks in the cupboards and drawers for camping etc. I'm also including a correct outer sink vent cover. This bus is 100% original paint! The body is very solid compared to something you would find back east, the floors are really nice and solid, the front floors only have surface corrosion, no holes. The rockers are extremely nice. Frame rails are solid as a rock! Dog legs are solid. You get the point. It has it's share of scrapes and small dents and dings as you would expect and can see in the pictures. The worst on this bus is where the nose meets the windshield is rotted, the nose is pushed in due to the spare tire. It still retains it's original VW emblem under the spare tire. The drivers seat is broken. The LH rear tail light area needs some straightening. It will need some welding repairs on the rear rain gutter area and the typical battery tray area where it meets the quarter panel corner. This bus was a running driving bus the day I bought it, the engine was removed and kept by the previous owner. It still has it's working 4 speed manual trans in it. It would be fairly simple to get this bus back on the road. This bus is a great candidate for a preservation restoration...meaning keep it as original as possible while fixing what it needs. The exterior has been washed since these pics and looks a little better now. It will need a good cleaning inside. Put an engine in it, a rear bumper and some marker lights on it and you will have a basically complete bus. VW camper bus's are getting harder and harder to find in any condition, let alone still with original paint, a complete interior, rock solid under carriage, and a nice awning.
