This is an opportunity to own an iconic American Corvette roadster with only 28,357 miles and at a reasonable price of $24,900. It’s a sure head turner. 1998 marked the fourth time the Chevrolet Corvette had been selected as the Indy 500 Pace Car. The color-shifting "radar blue" paint and bright yellow wheels presented some of the most extreme looks for an Indy pace car. It looks also purple at times but it is blue. This pace car rolled off the assembly line with an all-aluminum 5.7 liter LS1 V8 that produces 345 horsepower and 350 lb.-ft. of torque. This powerplant is linked to a 4L60-E electronically controlled 4-speed automatic transmission. This Vette includes the “Z4Z” option package - a unique exterior and interior design of an Indy 500 Pace Car. An all-new feature on the pace car was the unique Active Handling chassis control system (JL4). Chevrolet produced a total of 1,158 limited editions of the pace car with about half with the automatic transmission. I’ve owned this beauty for slightly over a year and purchased it from Texas Direct Auto in Houston, one of the largest dealerships in the US. I have driven it less than 1,000 miles and it is garage kept at my home. Everything works on it and it is in great mechanical shape.
