Originally a California car, engine was removed from car by former owner to allow an engine compartment fire restoration. Exterior engine equipment has since been removed by current owner and is present. Engine turns over manually without hesitation. There is no evidence of any internal engine problems so it appears it was removed just to repair the body. This is a major project requiring body work, paint, cracked and worn right dash and seat upholstery replacement, cracked windshield replacement, installation of new lexan rear window (present), reattachment of the bumpers (present), and reinstalling the motor (original). Remote oil cooler hose leak caused minor fire with paint damage to left rear fender, engine cover, and interior engine compartment/luggage bulkhead. Damaged paint has been sanded off. Also, fire damaged one distributor cover and some ignition wires, as well as engine cover upper vent screen and louvers. Subsequently right front corner, mainly upper radiator opening, and front lower fiberglass air dam were damaged and require minor body work. Missing are: spare wheel, one short front engine water pipe which connects to thru-body radiator pipe, left rear wheel well inner rubber partition, rear deck "Ferrari" insignia and "Prancing Horse" from the front grill, left rear fender light lens, front bumper turn signals, horn button, inner luggage zip cover, clock, and left rear quarter window black louver assembly. Tires have tread but are quite old. All side windows are in good condition. No attempt to operate any equipment except for manually rotating the engine has been made so no warranty can be made. There is no body damage other than what is described here and in the pictures. No rust is visible. Having had at one time a late 1950's 250GT LWB California Spyder (0627GT) and later a Dino, both of which needed as much work as the subject car before I bought them, I purchased this car as a retirement project expecting to have unlimited free time. Unfortunately before I got started I also bought a large historic US Naval Academy racing boat (yachthighlandlight.weebly.com), which needed an incredible amount of work so the 308 and some Jaguars sat for years as there was no time for them. The Jags were sold and I hoped to get to the 308, but that's not going to happen with the amount of boat work still awaiting. Car is garaged in southern Arizona and is available for inspection before bidding. Buyer will have to make shipping arrangements because of engine and engine parts situation. I can assist in loading everything on your truck and or trailer. Chance I may be able to deliver in Arizona and southern California. Car has clear Arizona title.
