Vehicle Detail

I am listing this for a close friend, whose father passed away a few months ago. He is selling it for his Mother. THis is a very, very, VERY clean and sharp car. It's the RIGHT color inside and out. The mileage is realistically low and the car is very tight and drives right. It has the suspension package, an early factory Navigation system, CD player, and the factory alloy wheels are chromed (wow!). Paint on this car is original, but has been color sanded and buffed, and is in show condition. Interior is clean as new, and the leather is still very good (no folds or cracks). Tires are nearly brand new. Glass is perfect. The exhaust is custom (Borla we believe) with a strong note and quad pipes. VERY nice sound! Personalized Plates (CA) go with the car. The "brain" for the traction control and Suspension control is bad, as diagnosed by the Chevrolet dealer. The dealer estimate was $1,277 parts and labor, six months ago. The driver power seat switch has no power. I assume it's a bad switch. There are 2 tiny scratches inside the rear license opening. They're too small to be visible in a photo but, since they're the only flaws on an otherwise perfect body, I have to list them. The Navigation system appears completely intact, but needs a new DVD. The owner pulled the old one to get an updated one, just before he died, and they can't find where he put it. I went over the car pretty carefully and could find nothing else to critique. This car looks very good in the pics, but it stands out even more in person. It looks like a car should when new on the dealer showroom. Most auto finishes get little "spider web" scratches from buffing or car wash brushes. This car has none of that. It's a true mirror gloss. They tell me the car never saw a car wash or a polish wheel. I believe that, after seeing it up close. This is a true "No Reserve" auction. That means the high bidder at auction close owns the car for his last bid. The realistic value of the car, as is is easily $12,500. You MIGHT get lucky and get it for a lot cheaper. One catch... The seller does have a friend who has been "going to buy" the car ever since the father died, but hasn't come through. If he shows up with the cash, I will have to pull the auction listing. That's unlikely, given the six months we've been waiting for him to do that!! You can reach me at 909-266-1740 and I'll be happy to put you in contact with the son, if it's appropriate. I will handle the actual transaction, but the wife will be in on it too. This is a California car, and is located in Central California. We can deliver it up to 250 miles for free (on my trailer) and farther away for a fee. Or you can fly or Amtrak into Fresno, and we'll pick you up. You need this Corvette!!! Good luck bidding :)
