This rare 1971 Mercury Cougar XR-7 Convertible is 1 of 1,717, with all matching numbers 351-Cleveland motor and C6 Automatic Transmission is a truly beautiful car. Lovingly cared for, this car has been in the family since it was new. The inside is immaculate. The carpet, seats, dashboard, door panels are all in amazingly good condition for being just shy of 45 years old. There are no cracks or tears or anything. The car has power disc brakes which stops the car safely at any speed. Other features include power steering, power windows, tilt wheel, power top, factory dual exhaust, and full gauges (fuel, temperature, tach, oil pressure and amps), all in working order. The car starts up easy, run smoothly, drives like glass and doesn't smoke or leak oil. See for yourself in the videos below. The transmission is tight, and doesn't leak either. The convertible top has no rips or tears and has a glass back window. All in all the car was well maintained and not abused. Please refer to the videos posted below. Everything is shown to the best of my ability. You can hear the car start up, run, drive down the high way from inside and out, walk around the car and watch the windows and top go up and down.
