I have a 1959 Chevy El Camino.This is a car project that I started a few years ago and then stopped because I was busy with work and the funds were getting low.At the present time I am making plans to move and here we are.So I purchased this car as a project and took it to a body shop and got a very high price to make it show quality and I requested an average job so I could drive it and not worry about a show car on the street getting scratches and what not.The floors were rusty and I purchased front and back floors which the body shop installed and they also did the bodywork and painted it silver blue.I recieved the car back intact and took the nose off to install the 283 that a shop had gone over.I don't think the repair shop did more then pull the heads and reseal the engine.It had a rebuilt 2 barrel carb on it.When it was started up it ran lean and leaked oil from the rear seal,so so much for the professional engine work.The engine is included.I believe I have most of the parts here to finish this..I have the radiator,I have the shroud,I have the drive shaft,I should have the headlight buckets,I have the wipers.The previous owner saved all the nuts and bolts in bags.He also cut the wiring harness in the front and then marked all the parts,all he had to do was unplug it.I replaced that new and I should have the other firewall one somewhere here..So this is a project but not too bad..The El Co will need..a transmission,door panels,they were here but are missing,some odds and ends..I also have the inner fender wells.The lower valance is here painted.The upper and a couple parts are here but will need paint..I should have some paint somewhere here..Glass is good,well almost..Driver side and vent cracked..I have the chrome emblem for the tailgate..The rest ok..A good project if you can handle it.I have a clean title...Buyer pays shipping..Thanks For those with concerns please make a time to inspect the El Camino before purchasing..Thanks
