Vehicle Detail
We bought this covered headlamp, triple SU carburetor 1967 Jaguar XKE from First Interstate Bank in 1986. The car had been hidden in a leaky barn for over 10 years to avoid being re-possessed by the bank. The last time it was on the road was in 1976. The bonnet, gas tank, carburetors and manifolds were used on another project years ago. The rest of the car remains in much the same condition as it was when we got it back in 1986, although a few misc. small parts may be missing. We stored the car inside ever since. The Jaguar has an old non-stock paint job and a couple of red racing stripes on the sills but appears to never been wrecked. The body is solid including, floors, sills, trunk floor etc. There is minor surface rust here and there and some small bubbles near the bottoms of both doors. The door drain channels were most likely plugged allowing water to accumulate. The engine rotates by hand. There is even one original Dunlop RS5 bias ply whitewall tire on the left hand front. The engine and frame numbers match the data plate. With an old Washington State license plate (BJX 000) it has been here its entire life. In 1988 when XKEs first started to appreciate rapidly, we put them all in storage including this one. Now we are selling most of them off. This vehicle could be restored, used to rebuild a more valuable roadster or just used for parts. This is a true no reserve auction. High bidder gets the car. We will not sell it before the auction ends. It is the buyers responsibility to pick up the car. We will help with loading. If you are an international buyer make sure the Bill of Sale we are supplying is adequate for Customs. Also make sure you know the shipping cost. Do not bid if you are uncertain. As the auction terms state: We need a $1000.00 deposit through Paypal within 24 hours of auction ending. You will have three days to complete payment. We are a licensed Washington State Auto Dismantler. The buyer of this car will receive an Auto Wreckers Bill of Sale. See pictures of this document at end of auction. Reverse shows titling procedures. If you have zero feedbacks, multiple bid retractions, or you failed to complete a sale after being the winning bidder, contact us before bidding or your bid may be rejected. We had a bad experience with "zero feedback" who bid up well qualified buyers and then re-niged on the sale, requiring us to re-list the item.
