I just had over $850 work completed on this nice car in order to keep it another 6 years, but I have decided that having three cars just isn't necessary. Over the 6 years I've had it, I have only driven it about 40K miles and that included a few trips to Texas, Florida and other shorter trips. It rides great and, for those with children, Mercedes is one of the safest cars on the road. Its VERY solid and although an older model, it looks good and elite. Nothing like pulling up in a black Mercedes! Its not perfect but its VERY dependable. The A/C worked until 2 years ago, but now is only blowing warm air. I have just never had it charged b/c I tend to drive my convertible all Summer and this was my Fall/ Winter car. Very good in snow and ice, handles great and very smooth. There is a crack along the bottom of the front wind shield caused by the ice storm 3 year ago. I turned on the defrost to melt the 1/2 inch ice and I assume it caused the crack. Its NOT in the line of view, nor does it leak. I have found 2 places that will replace it for $175 if it is an issue. It has a good transmission and engine. These can get well over 300K miles if taken care of. The car can move very fast if needed and I get about 22/27 MPG. As I mentioned, I just had $859 worth of tune up and sensors replaced and it runs nice. I also replaced the brakes all around and engine belt less than 5K miles ago. The check engine light comes on sometimes, but the mechanic says it is probably just a pollution sensitive thing and doesn't mean the engine has any issues. Otherwise, I have faith this car could be driven any where. The report will show the car is ACCIDENT FREE. I am also the third owner ( the report says 4, but one was the place I bought it from and they only took ownership to transfer it). Please do not point out the nicks and scratches or scuffs. This is just normal wear for this age of car and could be buffed out if that's a cosmetic issue for you. Its a PRE-OWNED car.
