Vehicle Detail

With an absolutely bulletproof diesel engine and just 191,886 miles on the clock, this precision-crafted sedan is an example of Mercedes in its prime. I bought this car from Green Eye Auto in Eugene, Oregon, seven years ago. Prior to that, it had lived in Palm Springs, California, where it was kept in a garage and lovingly maintained. I have the full service records from my time as owner as well as from the previous owner. It is a very comfortable ride and a great-looking car, which starts first time, every time and turns heads on its way down the street. About a year go, the transmission began to fail and it became clear it needed a rebuild. The estimated $2,000 cost of a rebuild put that out of reach. That, together with the birth of our first child, meant we needed something newer, simpler and a little more kid-friendly. This car would be perfect for someone who has some mechanical knowledge or is good friends with a mechanic. At present, the car can be driven in D but needs to be in S to go up hills. Top speed in S is roughly 50 mph. Exterior in great condition. Minor scuffing of paint on trunk, one missing piece of side trim. Rear bumper pushed in on driver side, but no damage to frame. Interior in good condition. No rips or tears. Some cracks in plastic molding. Other issues are: erratic defogger; sunroof sealed due to leak; three window motors disconnected (passenger side works); headlights stuck on high beam (wiring issue); hood pop is stiff but functions, air conditioning broken; radio antennae does not come up; pneumatic locks erratic; and tape deck broken. In addition, the driver side hood hinge is damaged, with some rust present on the hinge. The hood still opens fully and lies flush when closed.
