1990 Limited Edition Mustang Convertible - 25th Anniversary 7up Edition ( RARE 5 speed car, 1 of only 1,360 made) 5.0 Convertible The 7-UP Connection The 7-UP Bottling Company was to give away thirty of these cars at the 1990 National Collegiate Athletic Association basketball finals in the United States. In an audience participation contest, anyone sinking a basket from center court with one try was to drive home in one of the cars. At the last minute, the contest was canceled. Hence how the legend began. Ford then decided to just make the cars the 25th Anniversary Limited Edition The 1990 Limited Edition LX Convertible has some features which differentiate it from other Mustang models. These features include: Deep Emerald Green Clearcoat Metallic Paint (code PA) Colour-keyed body side moldings, fascia moldings and side view mirrors White Leather Interior White Convertible Top 15" GT Aluminum Wheels Production of these cars started in December of 1989, with only two cars being built. Full production began February 2, 1990 with the final car being built May 29, 1990. The convertibles all started out as coupes, and had the hardtop removed prior to shipment to Cars & Concepts of Brighton, MI. The plan was to build 5,000 but only 4,103 were built. The breakdown of the production numbers is as follows: Total production: 4,103 Number of 5-Speeds: 1,360 Number of Automatics: 2,743 Number of vehicles exported: 261 Details about your new car......... 1990 Ford Mustang LX 5.0 Convertible - Limited Edition 7-Up Model with only 10.6k original miles. This car has the 5-Speed Manual Transmission, which is only 1 of 1,360 made. Car is 100% stock (other than oil, filter and battery) and is in mint condition with no accidents, no fender benders. This is the real deal. Car is / has been garage kept its entire life and is only driven around on perfect sunny days. The top is the original and is in mint condition. The interior is in mint condition as well. The exterior has very, very flew blemishes that need to be pointed out to you to be noticed. The undercarriage, engine compartment and trunk are all mint and clean. All options work on car. Car is mechanically sound; there are no leaks, no smoke and the car runs excellent. Please see pics for details. Should you purchase the car, if paying by cash or bank transfer, car and title will be immediately released to you. If paying by personal check, bank check, cashier's check, money order, etc, funds will have to be verified and cleared before car and title are signed over and released to you. This can take anywhere from a couple of days to a week or two depending on the speed of your bank clearing the funds to me. Car will sit in garage and not be driven while funds wait to be cleared.
