For sale today is our 2001 LT 2500 4x4 HD Autoride Chevrolet Suburban. 8.1 liter 496 cubic inch Big Block Chevy gas engine with 4L80E heavy 4 speed over drive duty transmission. It's is fully loaded with just about every option, gray leather, heated power seats, cold working front and rear A/C, power everything, sliding sun roof, tow package, Pioneer cd player, Alpine dvd screen, 12 volt to 110 A/C power inverter, 3rd row seat, running boards, roof racks, K&N air filter, Flowmaster exhaust, power mirrors, power windows and locks, tinted windows, tow package, cruise control, 20" Weld billet aluminum chrome rims and probably more etc etc. It has 137k miles. If you are well versed with GM vehicles, then you know the transmissions typically go out at around 100k miles. The stock replacement transmissions have inferior parts, clutches and the reverse bands are weak. I had the trans professionally rebuilt at 127k miles. I decided to go aftermarket custom build to ensure it lasts a long time and is heavy duty. It was a $3500. CASH deal (with receipt) 10k miles ago. Built with aftermarket extra clutches, heavy duty intermediate sprag, new converter, shift programed etc for towing and heavy duty use. I also had the anti lock break ECBM, water pump replaced and had the front end aligned and had it safety inspected in the last 24k miles...at the tune of $1100. CASH deal. It had new tires and a new battery installed in the last year for around $900. It is a true HD 3/4 ton with RPO GT5 4.10 gear ratio, it has a heavy duty full floater 14 bolt rear end. It's towing capacity rating is 12000LBS. Not a phoney 8 lug half ton like a lot out there. This is biggest and baddest Suburban you could buy from the factory! With all that said, I rarely tow with it, and only with an open single car trailer. It can handle your enclosed car / tow hauler or travel trailer no problem! It shows typical signs of use and some wear as you would expect for a vehicle of it's age. It is original paint with no major accidents. Minor dings and some paint scratches. The bolster on the drivers seat is showing wear. The center console has some screw holes from a previous Nextel dock. Chrome is peeling in the rims. One of the belt tensioners sometimes makes noise on cold start. I bought a new one for it, but never installed it, it will be given with the Suburban. We have owned it over 5 years and are the third owners. I recently spent $285. replacing an O2 sensor, getting a smog check (passed) and paying the registration for another year. It's currently registered through Sept 2015. We have a clean Ca. title. If you're looking for a great family or heavy duty tow vehicle, this Suburban is for you... $7999.
